Catalyst Giving Chain

The goal of the Catalyst Giving Chain project was to inspire empathy and understanding between people. We did this in 2014 by using the power of personal stories and the value of giving. It is through stories that we learn about each other and have the opportunity to be moved to compassion.

The project was simple:

1) The participant received a gift up to $50 in goods or services from us (because someone else thought of him/her).

2) The participant shared his/her story with us by video, photo, and a short interview.

3) The participant chose someone else who agreed to do the same and continue the chain!

This isn't just about watching others receive on video. This is about YOU! These are just an illustration for what empathy and giving COULD look like! What can you do in your own life to be intentional about seeing the needs of people around you, be moved to compassion, and give a gift to express you care. It will make a difference!
