Writers Workshop

A creative writing workshop for fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry. Desiree is a certified Amherst Writers & Artists Affiliate. These workshops are non-hierarchical and treat all artists at all levels with respect. Participants leave charged up and feeling very positive about their creative skills. A suggested donation of $15 is asked, although no one will be turned away. Please see www.RoseWriters.com for more details about Desiree and the workshops. Hosted at Catalyst Space, Long Beach.

One Imagination

Just as our city has many neighborhoods, we are one organization with many branches that we call "communities" - the Catalyst Network of Communities. This Network includes collaborative communities that we launch, community groups that we fiscally sponsor, and community projects that we spearhead.

We empower member-driven communities to connect around shared interests and to make an affect in their neighborhoods. We network these communities to share resources and collaborate so that together we can be a catalyst in our city.

We are people just looking for the same things - to make new friends and to make a difference in our neighborhoods. Much of what we do is member-driven. So that means if you've got an idea or a passion for something, we want to connect you with others who want to make it happen!

We all play a part in shaping our community. It just takes some intentionality. That's what it means to be a catalyst.
